Central Government Schemes - Revision Sheet
3-5 questions: launch date, ministry, eligibility age, premium and benefit amounts. Financial inclusion schemes (Jan Suraksha) are the most frequently asked.
1. Financial inclusion and social security

PMJJBY, PMSBY and APY were launched together at Kolkata. The cover period of PMJJBY and PMSBY is 1 June to 31 May; premiums were revised from Rs 330 and Rs 12 on 1 June 2022.

4. Girl child and small savings
- Beti Bachao Beti Padhao and Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana: 22 January 2015, Panipat.
- SSY: girl below 10 years; Rs 250 to Rs 1.5 lakh a year; deposits for 15 years; matures after 21 years; interest 8.2% for Oct-Dec 2026.
- Other small savings rates for Oct-Dec 2026: PPF 7.1%, NSC 7.7%, SCSS 8.2%, KVP 7.5%, POMIS 7.4%, post office savings 4%.

6. Employment and pensions
- VB-G RAM G Act, 2025: replaces MGNREGA; 125 days of guaranteed wage work per rural household; effective 1 July 2026.
- Unified Pension Scheme: from 1 April 2025; 50% of average basic pay of the last 12 months after 25 years of service.
- NPS for new central government employees since 1 January 2004.
