When is the SBI Clerk notification usually released?

Dates & resultsUpdated 2026-10-23
Short answer

There is no fixed month. The last three regular notifications opened for registration on 17 December 2024, 6 August 2025 and 11 August 2026, so recent cycles have leaned towards August.

SBI does not follow a fixed calendar for Junior Associate recruitment. The month has moved between cycles. Here are the last three regular notifications from SBI's careers page:

CycleAdvertisementOnline registrationRegular vacancies
2024-25CRPD/CR/2024-25/2417 December 2024 to 7 January 202513,735
2025-26CRPD/CR/2025-26/066 August to 26 August 20255,180 (plus backlog)
2026-27CRPD/CR/2026-27/1711 August to 31 August 20267,680 (plus backlog)

In 2026, a separate special recruitment drive for SC/ST/OBC backlog vacancies (CRPD/CR/SPLDRIVE/2026-27/16) opened a few days earlier, on 7 August 2026.

What the pattern suggests

  • The two most recent cycles opened in August, with Prelims in September. If SBI keeps this rhythm, the next notification could come around mid-2027, but this is only a pattern, not an announcement.
  • The registration window is short - about three weeks in each of the last three cycles. You need your documents and scanned images ready before it opens.
  • The notification is also advertised in Employment News / Rozgar Samachar. The 2026 Prelims booklet mentions the issue dated 29 August 2026.

How to make sure you do not miss it

  1. Check the official page, sbi.bank.in/web/careers/current-openings, every week from June onwards.
  2. Keep your graduation documents, category certificate and a recent passport photo ready in advance.
  3. Prepare the scanned signature, thumb impression and handwritten declaration in the required sizes early.
Do not wait for the notification to start preparing. In 2026, Prelims came about four weeks after registration closed.
Dates in this answer are past cycles. Only SBI's official careers page can tell you when the next notification is out.
