Short answer
Apply only online through the SBI careers page (sbi.bank.in/web/careers/current-openings) during the registration window: register, fill the form, upload photo, signature, thumb impression and handwritten declaration, pay the fee and print the form.
SBI Clerk applications are accepted only online. No other mode is accepted. The link opens on the official SBI careers page, sbi.bank.in/web/careers/current-openings, under "Recruitment of Junior Associates" for that year. In the 2026 cycle, registration and fee payment ran from 11 August to 31 August 2026.
Before you start, keep these ready
- A valid email ID and mobile number that will stay active until the final result.
- Scanned photograph, signature, left thumb impression and handwritten declaration in the sizes given in the notification.
- A webcam or phone for the live photo capture step.
- Your 10th certificate (for date of birth) and graduation details.
- Debit card, credit card or internet banking for the fee (if your category pays one).
Step by step
- Open the SBI careers page, find the Junior Associates advertisement and read the full notification.
- Click Apply Online and choose New Registration. Enter your basic details.
- Save the data. The system generates a provisional registration number and password. Note them down.
- Fill personal, category, education and State/UT details, choose your local language and exam centre, and opt for pre-exam training or a scribe if eligible.
- Upload the photo, signature, thumb impression and handwritten declaration, and complete the live photo capture.
- Preview the whole form. You can re-open and edit saved data, but this facility is available only three times, and nothing can be changed after final submission.
- Pay the fee through the payment gateway. On success, an e-receipt and the application form with fee details are generated.
- Print the application form for your records. Do not send it to SBI.
Apply a few days before the last date. The notification warns that the website can slow down near the deadline, and SBI does not accept responsibility for applications that could not be submitted in time.
Only one application is allowed. If you submit more than one, only the last valid completed application is kept and other fees are forfeited. Follow the steps in the latest official notification, as the process can change.
