Possible if you already know basic maths and English and can give 6-7 hours a day. Cover only high-weight topics, start mocks by week 3 and skip low-yield chapters until your core scores are stable.
Two months is tight but workable for a graduate who remembers school maths and reads English comfortably. It is harder if you are starting from zero in Quant. In two months you cannot study everything, so the plan below covers the topics that carry most of the Prelims marks and leaves rare topics for later.
What to cover (and what to leave)
- Quant: simplification, approximation, quadratic equations, number series, DI, and the main arithmetic chapters (percentage, ratio, profit and loss, SI/CI, average, time and work, speed). Leave permutation, probability and mensuration until week 6.
- Reasoning: puzzles and seating (the biggest block), inequality, syllogism, alphanumeric series, blood relations, direction. Leave input-output and data sufficiency for later.
- English: reading comprehension, error detection, fillers, para jumbles, cloze test.
An 8-week schedule
| Week | Main work |
|---|---|
| 1 | Calculation base, simplification, inequality, syllogism, error detection |
| 2 | Arithmetic set 1, linear and circular seating, fillers, one RC daily |
| 3 | Arithmetic set 2, floor/box puzzles, para jumbles. First 2 Prelims mocks |
| 4 | DI, number series, quadratic, cloze. 3 mocks |
| 5-6 | Mock every other day, weak topics in between. Start GA for Mains (1 hour) |
| 7-8 | Daily mock at exam time, mistake book revision, light new learning |
Daily hours
Plan about 6-7 hours: 2 hours Quant, 2 hours Reasoning, 1 hour English, 1 hour mock analysis or GA. If you work or attend college, cut new topics rather than cutting practice.
