How do the mistake book and bookmarks work on this site?

The mistake book fills itself. You do not need to add anything. Any question you answer wrong, in practice or in a mock, appears there until you get it right.

How the mistake book decides

• It looks at your latest answer to each question.
• If the latest answer is wrong, the question is listed, grouped by subject and topic.
• When you answer it correctly later, it disappears from the list.

Ways to clear it

Bookmarks

Click "Save" on any question to bookmark it, and click again to remove it. Use bookmarks for questions you want to see again even if you got them right: a clever shortcut, a tricky grammar rule, or a puzzle type you want to practise.

A weekly routine

1. Twice a week, clear the mistake book for your two weakest topics.
2. Before each full mock, open bookmarks for 10 minutes.
3. In the last week before the exam, go through the whole mistake book once.

Mocks and the mistake book

Wrong answers from submitted mocks go into the mistake book too. Questions you skipped in a mock do not, because no answer was recorded; review those from the mock's solutions page instead.

Mistake book or bookmarks?

Use the mistake book for errors and bookmarks for ideas. A question you got right by a lucky guess belongs in bookmarks, so you can come back to it even though the mistake book will not show it.
