Does SBI give free pre-exam training for SC, ST, OBC, PwBD and ex-servicemen candidates?

Yes. As per the 2026 notification, SBI arranges pre-examination training (PET) for SC, ST, OBC, ex-servicemen and PwBD candidates in line with Government of India guidelines.

How it works

• Opt in on the form: eligible candidates who want the training must fill the relevant column in the online application. If you skip it there, you may not get access later.
• Online mode: the training is conducted online.
• Login: you log in for training from the Bank's website using your registration number and date of birth.
• Schedule by email and SMS: intimation about the schedule is sent to your registered email and mobile. No hard copies are sent.

Is it worth it?

It is free and official, so there is no harm in opting in. It is most useful for understanding the online test format and the type of questions. Treat it as a supplement - most candidates still need regular practice in Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude and English, and mock tests under timed conditions.

Other support for PwBD candidates

PwBD candidates with 40% or more disability who have a physical limitation to write may use a scribe, and those eligible get compensatory time of 20 minutes for every hour of the exam, whether or not they use a scribe. Candidates must arrange their own scribe at their own cost and follow the scribe guidelines published for each exam.
